M/A-COM Technology Solutions Inc. (M/A-COM Tech), a leading supplier of semiconductors, components, and subassemblies for use in RF, microwave and millimeter-wave applications, announced today the completion of a previously-announced merger transaction that adds Mimix Broadband, Inc. (Mimix) and its subsidiaries to the M/A-COM Tech family of companies. Mimix is a fabless supplier of high performance GaAs semiconductors from DC to 50 GHz for RF, microwave and millimeter-wave applications. Financial terms of the merger were not disclosed.
The management teams of M/A-COM Tech and Mimix will be combined to maximize growth opportunities created by the merger. Joseph Thomas, CEO of M/A-COM Tech prior to the merger, will continue as CEO of the combined organization. Rick Montgomery, Mimix Broadband’s CEO, will maintain a strategic role with M/A-COM Tech, pursing new technology and business opportunities.
